We compared six CFD brokers for traders in Indonesia: Exness, Pepperstone, IC Markets, Vantage, AvaTrade, and FXGlory. Exness ranks best overall because its account structure is better adapted to Indonesian traders, with IDR account currency support, Bahasa Indonesia service, local payment options, and automatic swap-free status for accounts registered from Indonesia.
Pepperstone stands out for trading-platform choice, IC Markets for raw-spread and scalping strategies, and Vantage for its combination of multi-platform trading and Indonesia-specific bank funding access. FXGlory offers the highest leverage to Indonesian residents.
Indonesia does not use the same single retail CFD leverage schedule found in the UK or EU. The applicable leverage for these international accounts comes from the foreign entity serving the trader. Local regulatory oversight also depends on the derivative type and underlying asset, so the legal entity holding the account is a central part of this comparison.
Exness ranks first because its international account is particularly well adapted to Indonesian traders. IDR is available as an account currency on Standard, Pro, Raw Spread, and Zero accounts, which reduces unnecessary conversion when account funding and withdrawals use rupiah.
Indonesia also receives automatic Islamic-country swap-free status. Combined with Bahasa Indonesia account content, local payment options, commission-free Standard pricing, and both proprietary and MetaTrader platforms, this gives Exness the strongest Indonesia-specific product fit in the comparison.
Exness Unlimited Leverage is not available by default. Real accounts require equity below $5,000 and at least 10 closed real-account orders totaling at least 5 lots, or 500 cent lots. Unlimited Leverage applies to eligible major and minor forex pairs and gold and silver instruments. Higher margin requirements also apply during selected market conditions.
Exness best suits Indonesian traders who prioritize IDR account support, automatic swap-free conditions, Bahasa Indonesia service, flexible local funding, and a choice between commission-free and raw-spread trading.
Pepperstone ranks second because it offers the broadest platform combination in this comparison. Indonesian traders use the Pepperstone platform, MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView without maintaining separate broker accounts.
Pepperstone also specifically includes Indonesia among the countries eligible for its swap-free account. This gives Muslim traders an interest-free account structure alongside the Standard and Razor pricing models, although the swap-free account has a higher opening-balance requirement than the regular Standard account.
Pepperstone best suits Indonesian traders who prioritize platform flexibility and want MetaTrader, cTrader, TradingView, and a swap-free account option through the same broker.
IC Markets is the strongest choice for raw-spread forex trading. Indonesian registrations are accepted under the IC Markets Global structure, with Raw Trading Ltd in Seychelles used for current Indonesia-targeted APAC account activity.
The combination of raw pricing, 1:1000 leverage, MetaTrader, cTrader, TradingView, VPS support, and unrestricted scalping gives IC Markets a clearer active-trading focus than the other brokers compared.
IC Markets best suits experienced Indonesian traders who prioritize raw forex pricing, scalping, Expert Advisors, cTrader, TradingView, and high-leverage international account conditions.
Vantage stands out for combining a broad trading-platform setup with an Indonesia-specific bank-transfer channel. Indonesia Bank Transfer appears among the regional deposit channels supported for eligible Vantage Global Limited accounts.
Standard STP keeps forex trading commission-free, while Raw ECN starts from 0.0 pips with a $3 commission per standard lot per side. Indonesian clients also fall within the regional availability conditions for the Premium Unlimited structure, subject to the account's higher funding and eligibility requirements.
Vantage best suits Indonesian traders who want an Indonesia-specific bank-transfer option alongside MT4, MT5, TradingView, mobile trading, and a choice between Standard, Raw, and swap-free accounts.
AvaTrade is the strongest beginner-oriented choice in this comparison. WebTrader and AvaTradeGO provide a simpler proprietary workflow, while MT4 and MT5 remain available for traders who later move toward a more traditional forex setup.
AvaTrade also provides a swap-free account for Muslim clients. The account is requested after verification and funding, although the swap-free treatment has a five-day holding limit before overnight charges apply.
AvaTrade best suits beginner traders in Indonesia who want proprietary web and mobile platforms, commission-free spread pricing, MetaTrader access, and an optional swap-free account.
FXGlory offers Standard, Premium, VIP, Classic, Pro, and ECN accounts internationally. Its Standard account starts from $1, uses fixed spreads from 2 pips, and offers leverage up to 1:3000, while the ECN account reduces the starting spread to 0.1 pips.
FXGlory is relevant to Indonesian traders who prioritize a very low starting deposit, fixed-spread accounts, and MT4 or MT5. Indonesian clients can now register with FXGlory.
Indonesia divides financial-derivative supervision according to the underlying asset and market structure. The regulatory framework changed substantially in January 2025 when responsibilities previously held by Bappebti were transferred to OJK and Bank Indonesia for specific financial-derivative categories.
OJK supervises financial derivatives with securities as the underlying asset, including relevant capital-market derivative products. Bank Indonesia supervises financial derivatives with money-market and foreign-exchange instruments as the underlying assets.
Bappebti remains relevant to commodity futures and derivative activity that remains within the commodity-futures trading framework. This means there is no single regulator that covers every product commonly grouped under the broad CFD label.
None of the foreign entities compared below represents an Indonesian-licensed broker entity. A foreign broker accepting an Indonesian registration does not give that entity OJK, Bank Indonesia, or Bappebti authorization.
Foreign regulation governs the entity in its home jurisdiction. It does not replace Indonesian licensing or supervision for locally regulated financial-derivative activity.
The six brokers compared operate through foreign entities rather than Indonesian-licensed entities. Indonesian statutory protections therefore do not attach to these accounts in the same way as they attach to locally authorized financial-market services.
Client protection instead follows the foreign entity and its account agreement. Common broker-level measures include segregated client funds and negative balance protection, but the exact protection differs by entity. For example, Vantage's international terms do not guarantee negative balance protection, while AvaTrade's BVI structure states that negative balance protection applies.
There is no single Indonesian investor compensation scheme covering deposits held with these foreign CFD entities. Compensation arrangements, complaints, and insolvency procedures follow the jurisdiction of the contracting company.
Local financial-derivative products operate under the rules and approval structure of the relevant Indonesian authority. Those local rules should not be assumed to extend to an offshore CFD account.
Indonesia does not apply one universal cross-asset retail CFD leverage schedule to the foreign accounts in this comparison. This differs from markets such as the UK and EU, where a single retail framework sets fixed leverage ceilings by asset class.
For the international brokers compared here, leverage comes from the foreign entity and account type serving the Indonesian trader. The applicable figures therefore differ substantially between brokers.
The maximum leverage shown does not apply equally to every instrument. Brokers reduce leverage on selected asset classes, larger positions, higher account equity, and specific market conditions.
Higher leverage reduces the margin required to open a position, but it also increases market exposure relative to account equity. A higher leverage ceiling therefore does not automatically make one broker better than another.
Several international CFD brokers accept registrations from Indonesia. Exness, Pepperstone, IC Markets, Vantage, and AvaTrade all maintain international structures that accept Indonesian clients under their applicable onboarding conditions.
Broker acceptance and Indonesian regulatory authorization are separate issues. An account opened with a Seychelles, Bahamas, Vanuatu, or BVI company remains governed by that foreign entity's regulatory framework and client agreement.
A locally regulated derivatives provider operates with the authorization required by the relevant Indonesian authority for the product and activity involved. OJK, Bank Indonesia, and Bappebti have different areas of responsibility depending on the underlying asset and market structure.
An internationally regulated broker holds a financial-services license outside Indonesia. Exness, Pepperstone, IC Markets, Vantage, and AvaTrade fall into this category for the international entities compared here.
An offshore-regulated or offshore-registered account is held with a company based in an offshore jurisdiction. The regulator, compensation arrangements, leverage limits, complaint process, and client protections follow that jurisdiction and the broker's account terms.
Indonesian traders should identify the exact contracting entity before comparing leverage or spreads. The highest leverage shown on a broker group's global website does not describe every jurisdiction or account type.
Confirm the company named in the account agreement, its regulator, and the jurisdiction responsible for complaints and client protection. Do not treat every license held by a global broker group as applying to the same Indonesian account.
Compare spreads, trading commissions, overnight financing, administration charges, conversion costs, and non-trading fees. A raw spread of 0.0 pips is not the complete transaction cost when the account adds commission.
Focus on the instruments required by the strategy. Forex traders should prioritize major-pair pricing and execution, while multi-asset traders should compare indices, commodities, stock CFDs, ETFs, bonds, and cryptocurrencies.
MT4 and MT5 suit established forex and Expert Advisor workflows. cTrader focuses on active execution, TradingView suits chart-based analysis, and proprietary platforms combine trading and account management inside one broker system.
Check whether negative balance protection applies under the serving entity, how client funds are held, which regulator handles disputes, and whether an investor-compensation arrangement applies.
IDR account support reduces unnecessary conversion when funding from an Indonesian bank account. Also compare local bank transfers, cards, e-wallets, minimum transaction amounts, processing conditions, withdrawal access, and currency-conversion costs.
No broker receives a strongest-local-regulation award because the entities compared are foreign entities rather than Indonesian-licensed broker entities.
Best Overall: Exness. IDR account support, automatic swap-free status for Indonesia, Bahasa Indonesia service, local payment access, and flexible account pricing give it the strongest Indonesia-specific fit.
Best for Trading Platforms: Pepperstone. Its combination of MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView, and proprietary software provides the broadest platform choice.
Best for Raw Forex Trading: IC Markets. Raw pricing, scalping support, cTrader, TradingView, and high-leverage international conditions suit experienced active traders.

Indonesia does not place every financial derivative under one regulator. OJK supervises securities-based financial derivatives, Bank Indonesia supervises derivatives with money-market and foreign-exchange underlyings, and Bappebti remains relevant to commodity-futures activity within its remaining mandate.
